Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform welding operations on a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.

Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, torches, and protective gear.

Inspect and measure completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment and tools.

Ensure all welding operations comply with safety regulations and standards to prevent accidents and injuries.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects on time and to the required specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and storage of materials and tools.

Document and report any issues, progress, or deviations from project specifications to supervisors.

Required skills:

Vocational training or certification in welding is preferred.

Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.

Strong attention to detail and precision in welding operations.

Good physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to work in various positions and environments.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS) are a plus.
