Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.

Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans for each territory, including market analysis, customer segmentation, and sales forecasting.

Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand market trends, gather feedback, and identify new business opportunities.

Liaising with internal stake holders to ensure that orders placed by retailers are processed and supplied in a timely manner

Ensure that the luxury beauty brands we distribute are effectively represented in the market through appropriate marketing and merchandising strategies.

Liaising with the marketing division to ensure campaigns are executed to support retailers’ sales

Supports the effective distribution of marketing materials across various markets

Monitoring competitor activity

Support with compiling detailed sales and marketing relating reports on excel

Required Skills:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and team management, preferably in the beauty industry or another consumer goods industry such as fashion or FMCG.

Strong understanding of the Sub-Saharan African market and its unique challenges and opportunities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.  

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel extensively within sub-Saharan Africa to meet with customers and partners.

Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Outlook, excel, PowerPoint, etc).

This role is open to candidates from any degree discipline or background.

The preference is for candidates with a qualification in a relevant subject such as marketing or business.

Conversational French is preferred
