Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Administer and process the company's payroll accurately and on time.
- Calculate wages, salaries, and deductions, and enter the data into the payroll system.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and taxation.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and complete payroll records, both electronic and paper.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Assist employees with inquiries and changes related to benefits.
- Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to payroll processing procedures.
- Reports:
- Generate and distribute payroll-related reports to relevant departments as required.
- Year-End Processes:
- Assist with year-end processes, including the issuance of W-2 forms and other tax-related documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Payroll Executive or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll and taxation laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle payroll discrepancies effectively.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
