Critical Dimensions: Owns the digital solution architecture development and delivery of key digital solutions, defines, and delivers customer-facing products/solutions.
Main Purpose: The Solution Architect in the Digital Operations team ensures that digital solutions are fit for purpose, performant, and future-focused. This role involves developing and delivering customer-facing products/solutions, managing digital projects, and ensuring alignment with the overall digital strategy. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to deliver optimal value to the business and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture:
- Develop digital solutions by mapping business requirements to system/technical requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into architecture and design.
- Ensure cybersecurity is considered in all stages of design.
- Stay updated on IT, OT, software applications, and innovations.
- Manage the functional acceptance testing of smart services.
- Handle internal and external digital integration and vendor management.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage digital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Support the project manager in managing project revenue, budget, and cash flow.
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
- Resolve conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
- Present regular reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Build strong relationships with digital sales leads, business partners, and other stakeholders.
- Act as the interface and point of contact between the project manager, architecture office, and the customer.
- Conduct requirements gathering workshops and functional/user testing workshops with end customers.
- Manage ecosystem and portfolio partners to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technology field.
- Professional certifications in AWS and/or Azure Certified Solution Architect.
- Professional certification in ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, or PMP.
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in solution architecture and project management.
- Strong understanding of IT, software/application, IoT, cloud, IoT platform, and cybersecurity.
- Experience in Smart building technologies and verticals like healthcare, airport, commercial real estate, higher education, and public sector is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in Agile and Waterfall methods of project delivery.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups.
- Strong acumen to fit portfolio/solutions to customer problems.
- Keen interest in emerging technologies to support and improve consumer experience.
