Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and review Electrical Design Deliverables including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Load Lists, Cable Schedules, Power & Lighting Layouts, and Equipment Datasheets.

Perform load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and protection coordination studies.

Define and select electrical equipment suitable for offshore environmental conditions.

Ensure design compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and offshore safety regulations.

Review and approve vendor drawings, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations (TBE).

Support Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams on electrical-related technical matters.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent discipline.

12–15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Offshore EPC projects (fixed platforms, FPSOs, subsea systems).

Solid understanding of electrical design, load analysis, power generation and distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and cathodic protection systems.

In-depth knowledge of international standards and codes.

Experience with electrical equipment selection, specification, data sheets, and vendor document review.

Familiar with Hazardous Area Classification, Ex-rated equipment, and offshore installation requirements.

Proficient in electrical design software such as ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), or equivalent.

Fluent in English, spoken and written.
