Job Description
Responsibilities:
Review & Validation:
Review vendor cost submissions, BOQs, and invoices to ensure alignment with approved contracts, scope of work, and market benchmarks. O
Validate third-party quotations and assess supporting documentation submitted by vendors for accuracy and completeness.
Cross-check vendor invoices against contracted BOQs, agreed deliverables, and approved change orders.
Cost Control & Compliance:
Monitor and track project costs against approved budgets and highlight any cost variations or potential overruns.
Verify that all payments and purchase orders are supported by valid documentation and are within the contractual limits.
Ensure financial governance and compliance with Client’s procurement policies and internal control framework.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare periodic cost review summaries, deviation reports, and variance analyses for management review.
Maintain up-to-date records of validated invoices, pending approvals, and PO status.
Support preparation of post-event financial summaries, highlighting cost performance against budget and key lessons learned.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Work closely with Business Units, Finance, and Procurement teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and clarify cost-related queries.
Support tender evaluation processes by reviewing commercial submissions for accuracy and value justification.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
4–6 years of relevant experience in cost validation, contract administration, or commercial management — preferably in the events, exhibitions, or fit-out sectors.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in MS Excel and cost tracking tools.
Experience in working with ERP systems (Oracle/GRP or equivalent).
Good understanding of event and exhibition project contracts, BOQs, and industry pricing standards.
