Job Description

Required Podiatrist's for diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions of the feet, ankles, and lower legs, ranging from common issues like ingrown nails and warts to complex problems like diabetic foot complications, fractures, and deformities, often using conservative methods (orthotics, physical therapy, medications) or surgery, and educating patients on foot health. They perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, manage chronic illnesses affecting the lower limbs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve mobility and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
Examine patients, order diagnostic tests (X-rays, etc.), and diagnose conditions like bunions, arthritis, sprains, calluses, and skin/nail issues.
Provide treatments including surgery, orthotics, casting, physical therapy, medications, and routine foot care (nail trimming).
Teach proper foot care, footwear choices, and injury prevention.
May focus on sports medicine, pediatrics, diabetic foot care, or reconstructive surgery.
Work with other doctors, nurses, and specialists for comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate patient histories and treatment records.
Common Conditions Treated
Ingrown toenails, corns, calluses, warts.
Heel pain (heel spurs), arch problems, fractures, bunions, hammertoes, arthritis, sprains.
Foot problems related to diabetes, obesity, and other systemic diseases.

Min 4 to 5 years experience with QHCP preferred if not at least dataflow completed candidates.
Bachelor's degree in Podiatry
