Clinical Psychologist – Child & Adolescent

Job Requirements
The Clinical Psychologist – Child & Adolescent responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health difficulties. The role involves close collaboration with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to support the psychological well-being and development of young clients.
Conduct psychological assessments for children and adolescents, including cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental evaluations
Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM/ICD criteria
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide evidence-based psychotherapies (e.g., CBT, play therapy, family therapy, behavioral interventions)
Offer crisis intervention and risk assessments (e.g., self-harm, suicidality)
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as required
Family & Systems Work
Provide psychoeducation, counseling, and guidance to parents and caregivers
Work collaboratively with families to support treatment goals
Liaise with schools, teachers, and educational professionals when appropriate
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, pediatricins, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers
Participate in case conferences, care planning, and clinical reviews
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records
Prepare psychological reports for clinical, educational, or legal purposes
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, safeguarding policies, and regulatory requirements
Stay up to date with current research and best practices in child and adolescent psychology
Participate in supervision, peer review, and continuing professional development
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (with specialization in Child & Adolescent Psychology)
Valid license- DHA/DOH/MOH
Experience in hospital, clinic or community mental health settings
Training in specific therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, play therapy, family therapy, etc.)
Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties)
Working Conditions
