Our client is recruiting for a CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST (Adult) to be based in their modern clinic facility centrally based in DUBAI, UAE. The are a well known and respected provider of Mental Health Services throughout the region within the Community Mental Health and Wellness arena. Providing quality psychological and psychiatric care to children, adults, couples and families.

Role: Consultant Psychiatrist

Location: Dubai, UAE

Hours: 5 days per week / 40 hrs, various timings between 8am and 8pm + some cover for Saturday clinic as and when required.

Salary & Benefits: Fixed basic salary + Revenue Share % with OTE between AED 65,000 and AED 80,000 + standard UAE benefits.

Summary: Responsible for providing the full range of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment to out-patients. Specialised in using clinical practice in the treatment of mental illnesses and disorders, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorder and addictions. Busy clinic. Expected to see at least 5 patients per day for 1 hour sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Ideally already with DHA specialist license or eligibility as a Psychiatrist.
• MUST have a Minimum of 5 yrs experience in a clinic or hospital environment.
• MUST have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ideally with some international experience overseas of in other settings.
• Ideally already resident in Dubai with an established local patient caseload.
• Will consider International candidates for Relocation.
• Those with experience with large Public Sector employers such as the NHS would be highly sought after.

Primary Responsibility:

• Analyzes and evaluates patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.
• Prescribes, directs, and administers psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioural disorders.
• Counsel’s cases referred from other services by offering clinical advice or assuming full responsibility of the care.
• Conducts laboratory or diagnostic tests on patient to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
• Contributes to the orientation of physicians, social workers, nurses and other Medical Organization personnel in the early detection, recognition, management or referral of psychiatric cases.
• Advises guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients' conditions and treatment.
