Job Description
Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Manage daily ground handling operations including ramp services, passenger services, baggage handling, and aircraft servicing.
Ensure safe and efficient aircraft turnaround in accordance with airline schedules and operational procedures.
Coordinate activities between ramp, passenger handling, dispatch, load control, and other operational units.
Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance service delivery.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure full compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards (IATA, local aviation authority).
Enforce company safety policies and procedures across all ground operations.
Investigate operational incidents, delays, or irregularities and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety briefings and operational audits.
Team Leadership
Lead, supervise, and develop operational staff including supervisors, ramp agents, and passenger service teams.
Plan manpower allocation and shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
Customer and Airline Relations
Maintain strong working relationships with airline representatives and other authorities.
Ensure ground handling services meet contractual obligations and service level agreements.
Handle operational issues and resolve airline or passenger service concerns.
Operational Planning and Reporting
Coordinate aircraft stand allocation, equipment availability, and resource planning.
Monitor flight schedules and adjust operational resources accordingly.
Support irregular operations management (delays, diversions, cancellations)
Prepare operational reports including flight statistics, delays, and service performance.
Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Required Skills
Experience: Proven Experience in Ground handling Operations (7–10 years of experience in ground handling operations, at least 4-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
Certifications: Safety Management Systems (SMS) - IATA, Ramp Handling Certification (IATA AHM or GOM), Aviation Security Awareness, or equivalent.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of ground handling operations standards, including IATA regulations.
Skills: Excellent leadership, multi-stakeholder coordination, and communication skills.
Language: Fluent spoken and written English.
Commitment: Willingness to commit to a long-term project
