Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and review Instrumentation & Control deliverables including P&IDs, Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Hook-ups, Loop Diagrams, Cause & Effect Charts, and Control System Architecture.
Design and specify field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control valves suitable for offshore environments.
Prepare and review datasheets, material requisitions, and technical specifications.
Perform control system design activities including DCS, PLC, ESD, and F&G systems.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
Review and approve vendor documentation, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and participate in FAT/SAT activities.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Electrical, Mechanical) to ensure proper system integration.
Support Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning phases for all I&C-related activities.
Ensure compliance with Hazardous Area Classification and selection of Ex-rated instruments.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
12–15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Offshore EPC projects (fixed platforms, FPSOs, subsea facilities).
Strong knowledge of instrumentation design, control systems, and process automation.
Experience with DCS, PLC, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, Siemens).
Familiarity with international codes and standards (IEC, ISA, API, NFPA).
Experience in preparation and review of instrument datasheets, specifications, and vendor documentation.
Knowledge of SIL classification, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and functional safety requirements.
Familiar with hazardous area design and Ex equipment selection.
Proficiency in engineering tools such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools) or equivalent.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
