Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate books of accounts for all group companies
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure proper recording of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
Review and approve journal entries prepared by junior staff
Compliance & Control
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and statutory requirements
Prepare and review VAT returns, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks
Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent errors and fraud
Team Supervision
Supervise, guide, and review work of 3 accounting staff
Allocate tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met
Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback
Budgeting & Management Support
Assist in budget preparation and cost monitoring
Track expenses and highlight variances and cost overruns& Provide management with financial insights and reports to support decision-making
Reconciliations & Cash Management
Review bank, intercompany, receivable, and payable reconciliations
Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity across entities
Follow up on outstanding receivables and vendor payments
Relationship Management
Must have previous experience(UAE)in dealing with banks in regard to Relationship Management, Trade Finance, corporate loans.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with general ledger, AP, AR, and reconciliations
Good understanding of VAT and UAE compliance requirements
Experience working with accounting software / ERP systems
Relationship Management, Trade Finance knowledge
CA/ACCA Qualified or partially Qualified
Must have worked in a delivery/logistics/ecommerce business
Willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
