Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and engineering documentation for aerospace assembly operations.

Prepare and update manufacturing plans, process flow charts, manufacturing bills of materials (MBOM), routings, work instructions, material masters, and process qualification documentation.

Support the implementation and validation of manufacturing methods to ensure high-quality, compliant products.

Provide technical support to production teams by troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly issues and implementing corrective actions.

Analyse root causes of manufacturing defects and contribute to sustainable process improvements.

Interpret engineering drawings, OEM specifications, and technical documentation to define efficient manufacturing methods.

Demonstrate expertise in aerospace assembly processes including drilling, countersinking, shimming, wet assembly, fastening, riveting, and repair methods.

Coordinate with Tooling, Design, Quality, Configuration Management, and Production teams to support manufacturing activities and new product introduction.

Assist in process qualification activities, qualification test planning, and report preparation.

Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, cost reduction, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Participate in Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECCB) activities and maintain configuration-controlled manufacturing data.

Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, health & safety requirements, and company engineering procedures.

Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to junior team members where required.

Support cross-functional project teams and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within the aerospace or advanced manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of aerospace assembly and manufacturing processes including drilling, riveting, fastening, shimming, wet assembly, and painting processes.

Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation including MBOMs, routings, work instructions, manufacturing plans, and process flow charts.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, OEM specifications, and manufacturing standards.

Knowledge of Airbus, Boeing, Pilatus, or other aerospace OEM manufacturing standards.

Hands-on experience with Engineering and PLM systems such as SAP, ENOVIA, CATIA, DELMIA, or similar software.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA), and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience supporting engineering change management and product lifecycle management processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Good command of written and spoken English with the ability to prepare technical documentation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering software tools.
