Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis on future economic, industry, and technology trends and assess their potential impact on Dubai’s economy.
Support the development of future-focused strategies and initiatives aimed at industry transformation and economic diversification.
Assist in designing and executing intelligence-gathering approaches, including benchmarking global best practices and sourcing relevant data and insights.
Review existing business laws, regulations, and policies from a future readiness perspective and support the formulation of improvement recommendations.
Contribute to stakeholder consultations with the business community to gather feedback on future challenges, opportunities, and readiness levels.
Support the development of concept notes, reports, and presentations related to future economy initiatives and foresight studies.
Assist in building and maintaining local and international partnerships with economic development agencies, research institutions, and global organisations.
Coordinate with internal teams to support cross-functional initiatives related to future economy priorities.
Monitor emerging global developments and contribute insights to inform leadership decision-making.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance foresight methodologies and analytical approaches.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related field.
Ideally 5–7 years of relevant experience in economic analysis, industry research, policy analysis, strategy, consulting, or related areas.
Strong research, analytical, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bilingual/Arabic capability is not mandatory.
Candidates with experience or exposure to Future Foresight, Strategic Foresight, Futures Thinking, Emerging Trends, Scenario Planning, or similar future-oriented disciplines will be strongly preferred, as this is a key focus of the role.
Candidates from consulting, economic development, strategy, research, government, or innovation-focused environments would be an advantage.
