Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Romania & Poland

The Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and strengthen the finance function across our growing operations in Romania and Poland.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the financial dynamics of the staffing and manpower industry, particularly high-volume workforce models with hourly/client billing.

The successful candidate does not necessarily need to hold a CFO title today. We are equally interested in strong Finance Directors, Heads of Finance or senior Finance Managers who have the leadership capability and ambition to step into a CFO position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function across Romania and Poland, with primary focus on Romania.
• Build a structured, scalable finance organization as the businesses grow.
• Strengthen accounts receivable and collections processes and improve cash conversion.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and financial planning.
• Develop and manage banking relationships and funding facilities.
• Drive billing and invoicing automation and improve financial systems and processes.
• Establish appropriate financial controls, reporting frameworks and management information.
• Lead and develop the existing accounting/finance teams in both countries.
• Partner with management on budgeting, forecasting, profitability and commercial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Romanian and Polish financial, tax and statutory requirements.
• Support the continued growth and professionalization of the European operations.

Candidate Profile

• Senior finance leadership experience within the staffing, manpower, temporary employment or workforce solutions industry.
• Strong understanding of staffing economics, ideally including blue-collar/high-volume staffing and hourly billing models.
• Experience managing receivables, collections, working capital and cash flow.
• Exposure to bank financing/funding and banking relationships.
• Experience improving or automating finance and invoicing processes.
• Proven ability to lead a finance function and manage teams independently.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work closely with business leadership.
• Good understanding of Romanian financial practices and regulations; exposure to Poland would be highly advantageous.
• Comfortable working within a growing, entrepreneurial business where structures and processes are still being developed.

The role is ideally based in Romania, with flexibility for a combination of on-site presence in Romania and Poland and remote working.
