Required Skills:
Professional Experience
Minimum 5–7 years' experience in project management, program coordination or PMO roles within large-scale live events, festivals, or complex multi-stakeholder delivery.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining master schedules across multiple interdependent workstreams.
Prior experience owning vendor/partner compliance processes (contracts, insurance, permits, licences) in an events or construction-adjacent environment.
Experience producing client-ready status reporting (e.g. Weekly Progress Reports) for senior stakeholders.
PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
Field of Study / Educational Background
Bachelor's degree (master’s an advantage) in one of the following or a closely related field:
Project Management
Business Administration
Event Management / Event Production
Engineering or Construction Management
Operations Management
Equivalent, extensive professional experience in project management or PMO delivery may substitute for formal qualification where the candidate can demonstrate the competencies below.
Core Competencies
Scheduling discipline: build, baseline and manage the master schedule with formal change control.
Risk management: run a live risk/issue log with clear ownership and resolution dates.
Reporting rigor: consolidate workstream inputs into one accurate, client-ready status report on deadline.
Vendor compliance: track contracts, insurance, permits, licences and payment milestones.
Cross-functional coordination: chair meetings and resolve scheduling conflicts across all workstreams.
Composure under pressure during Live operations.
High attention to detail across schedules, documentation, and moving parts.
Knowledge of UAE & Government-Client Delivery (Essential)
Understanding of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority's mandate, prior Sikka editions, and the festival's positioning within Dubai's cultural calendar.
Familiarity with delivering projects within Dubai's heritage-district planning, permitting and site-access requirements across Al Fahidi and Al Shindagha.
Experience working within government or semi-government client governance structures, including formal reporting and approval cycles.
Understanding of UAE vendor/contractor compliance norms (trade licences, insurance, civil defence and municipality permits).
Understanding of Emirati cultural norms and etiquette relevant to stakeholder and client engagement.
